Part-Time Marketing and Communications Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

Inversion Art invests in and stewards visual artists who are at an inflection point in their careers. We empower artists to do their greatest work by providing them with 360-degree studio management and our signature accelerator investment program. Our studio management service is intended to provide artists with comprehensive support that minimizes the time they spend on operations, maximizes their efficiency and effectiveness, and gives them peace of mind that qualified professionals are keeping their studio on track.

ABOUT THE COORDINATOR:

As Marketing & Communications Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our artists’ studio operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory Management: Efficiently uploading images, dimensions, and descriptions of artwork into our inventory management system. Ensuring that all listings are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Industry Research: Conducting thorough research to identify curators, writers, and other influential individuals in the art industry per specific outreach projects. Compiling contact information for outreach efforts to build partnerships and identify opportunities for artists.

  • Social Media Management: Managing artists’ Instagram marketing to promote their projects and work. This involves creating engaging posts, writing captions, and scheduling content using Buffer to maintain a consistent social media presence for artists.

  • Website Updates: Making timely updates to artists’ website using platforms such as Wix and Squarespace. Responsibilities include updating gallery listings, artist bios, and event information to ensure our website remains current and user-friendly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, and experience with social media scheduling tools like Buffer.

  • Familiarity with website management and content creation using Wix, Squarespace, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent research and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote setting.

  • Passionate about art and knowledgeable about the contemporary art scene.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience.

  • High competence with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and demonstrated desire to learn new programs and platforms to facilitate primary responsibilities of the position

  • Familiarity with CRM, project management, inventory management, social media management, and related platforms

  • Exceptional written communication skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • This is a part-time hourly position.

  • The salary range for this position is $20 - 23 per hour.
